YOU CHOOSE Youth Road Safety Live4Lyss Day – 14th August 2021

The Postle family of Bray Park, north of Brisbane, lost their beloved treasure, Alyssa, on August 14 2020 to a wholly avoidable car crash in which she was a passenger.

A bright, beautiful, loving and sporty 17 year old with the world at her feet.

YOU CHOOSE Youth Road Safety – Australia’s youth led mission to change driving culture – is privileged and humbled to call the Postles our friends. We are determined to honour Alyssa and every victim of road trauma, by uplifting young drivers and young passengers throughout Australia to expect good decisions of themselves, their friends and their families.

Love, Family and the Empowerment of Choice. Community-owned. One student, one peer-group, one family, one school at a time.

On August 14, the Brisbane City Council is lighting the Story Bridge blue and the Moreton Bay Regional Council is lighting municipal buildings blue to mark YOU CHOOSE Youth Road Safety Live4Lyss Day 2021.

We encourage everyone to join the Postles, these innovative Councils and YOU CHOOSE in remembering Alyssa. And in reflecting on how easily we can all protect our loved ones and our communities from the preventable misery of road trauma.
